While working with Liferay 6.1 I faced problem that plugin's deployment stuck on log message "Deployment will start in a few seconds".
After receiving this message nothing happened, plugin not deployed. I searched over the internet for solutions, some useful links http://www.samuliheljo.com/blog/liferay-deployment-will-start-in-a-few-seconds/, http://www.coderanch.com/t/556663/Portals-Portlets/java/Deployment-stuck, http://blog.ropardo.ro/2010/08/09/liferay-deployment-will-start-in-a-few-seconds-and-how-to-realy-start/, but none of them didn't helped.
However solution was simple, Liferay 6.1 has wizard configuration, untill it is completed, plugin deployment will not work and will be stuck on "Deployment will start in a few seconds". So just complete Liferay's wizard setup and everything will work.
